The only problem was, the meeting occurred at the same time as my daughter's first big trip away from home. It was a big moment for her and her friends—to go on a multiple day trip—and my daughter needed me to be there.

What should I do. There was never a doubt in my mind.

我怎么辦?其實我心里從來沒有猶豫。

The president wouldn't know if I was there or not. But my daughter would. So I went to the bus with her and I never looked back. It didn't affect Avon that I didn't go to the White House.

總統(tǒng)并不知道我是否在場，但我女兒需要我的陪伴。所以我義無反顧地和她一起去了車站。不去白宮不會影響雅芳。

But I also tell women that it is even all right if your job does sometimes come second to your personal priorities. Sometimes the job is more important.But sometimes your family has to be more important.

但我也要告訴女性朋友，有時候你的工作排在你的私人事情之后是完全可以的。有時候，工作更重要，但有時候，你的家庭更重要。

There are two final qualities of distinguished leadership that I want to share with you today.These may be the most important qualities of all and how lucky we are that both are a fundamental part of our Chinese culture—something we all learn from our parents virtually from the day we are born.

我今天和你們分享的最后兩點優(yōu)秀領(lǐng)導(dǎo)力的特質(zhì)可能是所有特質(zhì)中最重要的，而我們?nèi)绱诵疫\，因為這兩點都是我們中華民族文化的根基，是我們幾乎從出生那天起就開始向父母學(xué)習(xí)的。

First is Perseverance. I'm talking about simple hard work and a commitment to stay the course even when times are tough.

第一是堅持。我所談的是最基本的努力工作和面臨困境時也能如此的信念。

In today's fast-pace business environment, unexpected challenges come at you from all directions, with no end in sight. Sometimes I read articles about myself and my career path and it makes it sound so easy.

在如今快節(jié)奏的商業(yè)環(huán)境下，意料之外的挑戰(zhàn)來自四面八方，看不到勁頭。有時候我讀一些關(guān)于我和我職業(yè)生涯的文章，看上去好像一切都很容易。
