Em! You and Dorothy go down under the house! A cyclone is coming. I'll be down soon! I have to see about the animals

Come on, Dorothy! "said Aunt Em. " can see the cyclone getting closer! "And she opened a door in the floor of her room and ran down under the house

Dorothy could not go without Toto, so she went to the bed and pulled him out from under it. As she was running to the door in her aunt's room, the cyclone fel upon their home with a great noise, and lifted the house up in the air.

The noise and the movement of the house were, at first, very scary to Dorothy. Round and round inside the cyclone it spun, very far from the ground. She thought all was lost. But the house did not fall. The cyclone took it far away; and the longer she was in the air, the less scary it was for Dorothy. She even became tired, and lay down in her bed.

龍卷風(fēng)來(lái)了

突然，亨利叔叔轉(zhuǎn)過(guò)頭來(lái)說(shuō):“快，愛(ài)姆，你和德羅茜到地下室去!龍卷就要來(lái)了。我也很快就會(huì)下來(lái)，我必須得先去看一下家畜的情況?！钡铝_茜站起來(lái)機(jī)愛(ài)姆嬸嬸一起往地下室走，但就在這時(shí)，多多鉆到了一張床底下。
“快過(guò)來(lái)，德羅茜，”愛(ài)姆嬸嬸大喊道“我看到龍卷風(fēng)越來(lái)越近了。”緊接著她打開(kāi)她房間地版上的一扇門(mén)，跑到地下室去了。德羅茜不愿意扔下多多，所以她走到床邊把多多從床底下拽了出來(lái)。當(dāng)她正朝著嬸嬸房間的那門(mén)跑去時(shí)，卷風(fēng)呼嘯向了他們的屋，把整個(gè)屋子卷到了空中。

剛開(kāi)始，卷風(fēng)的呼嘯聲和房子的移動(dòng)讓羅茜非常驚恐。房子在龍卷風(fēng)的中心不停地旋轉(zhuǎn)上升，離地面越來(lái)越遠(yuǎn)。她心想這下完蛋了。但是房子沒(méi)有從空中掉下來(lái)。而是被卷向了很的地方。隨著房子在空中的時(shí)間久了，徳羅茜漸漸不那么害怕了。后來(lái)她覺(jué)得有點(diǎn)倦，就躺在床上休息了。
