Work to start on Yangtze cultural parks

長江國家文化公園建設(shè)啟動

China plans to construct national parks focusing on Yangtze River culture as part of efforts to preserve the waterway's cultural heritage. According to a circular on the parks' construction issued by the central leading group on promoting national culture parks, the parks will be located in the 13 provincial-level regions in the Yangtze basin. 
為保護(hù)好長江流域文化遺產(chǎn)，國家文化公園建設(shè)工作領(lǐng)導(dǎo)小組近日印發(fā)通知，部署啟動長江國家文化公園建設(shè)。長江國家文化公園的建設(shè)范圍涉及長江流域13個省區(qū)市。

To coordinate government bodies, the central leading group will establish a working mechanism to map out construction and preservation plans. Guidance will also be offered to local authorities on drafting regional plans.
國家文化公園建設(shè)工作領(lǐng)導(dǎo)小組將協(xié)調(diào)中央有關(guān)部門，制定建設(shè)實施方案和建設(shè)保護(hù)規(guī)劃，指導(dǎo)相關(guān)省份編制分省份規(guī)劃。

New rules on algorithm recommendations
四部門規(guī)范管理算法推薦

A new set of rules on algorithm recommendation services will come into effect on March 1, the Cyberspace Administration of China announced Tuesday. The regulation, jointly issued by the CAC and three other departments, stipulates that algorithmic recommendation service providers shall not use technology to engage in illegal activities or spread illegal information, and shall take measures to prevent the dissemination of harmful online content. 
近日，國家互聯(lián)網(wǎng)信息辦公室等四部門聯(lián)合發(fā)布《互聯(lián)網(wǎng)信息服務(wù)算法推薦管理規(guī)定》，自2022年3月1日起施行?！兑?guī)定》要求，算法推薦服務(wù)提供者不得利用算法推薦服務(wù)從事違法活動或者傳播違法信息，應(yīng)當(dāng)采取措施防范和抵制傳播不良信息。

The regulation prohibits algorithmic recommendation service providers from generating fake news or disseminating information from unauthorized sources. It states algorithm technology shall not be used to influence online public opinion, evade supervision and management or engage in monopoly-building or unfair competition. The regulation also calls on algorithmic recommendation service providers to promote socialist values and spread positive energy.
此外，還不得生成合成虛假新聞信息或者傳播非國家規(guī)定范圍內(nèi)的單位發(fā)布的新聞信息；不得利用算法實施影響網(wǎng)絡(luò)輿論、規(guī)避監(jiān)督管理以及壟斷和不正當(dāng)競爭行為。算法推薦服務(wù)提供者應(yīng)當(dāng)堅持主流價值導(dǎo)向，積極傳播正能量。

Beijing sets air quality record in 2021
北京市空氣質(zhì)量首次全面達(dá)標(biāo)

Beijing made a breakthrough in its air pollution treatment as the city reached the national air quality standard, local authorities said Tuesday. The city's average concentration of PM2.5 was 33 micrograms per cubic meter in 2021, the lowest level since record-keeping began in 2013, Yu Jianhua, deputy director of the Beijing municipal ecology and environment bureau, said at a press briefing. The metropolis also saw its average ozone concentration decrease to 149 micrograms per cubic meter in 2021, marking the first time the readings for PM2.5 and ozone for the city reached the level-II national standard simultaneously. The city saw 288 days of good air quality last year, up by 112 days from 2013, and only eight days of heavy air pollution, Yu said. 
1月4日，北京市生態(tài)環(huán)境局副局長于建華在新聞發(fā)布會上介紹，2021年，北京市空氣質(zhì)量首次全面達(dá)標(biāo)，大氣污染治理取得里程碑式突破。2021年北京大氣環(huán)境中細(xì)顆粒物(PM2.5)年均濃度、臭氧濃度分別降至33微克/立方米、149微克/立方米，首次同步達(dá)到國家二級標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，為2013年P(guān)M2.5數(shù)據(jù)有持續(xù)監(jiān)測記錄以來最優(yōu)。于建華介紹，2021年，北京市優(yōu)良天數(shù)達(dá)到288天，較2013年增加了112天，重污染日僅8天。

WHO chief optimistic disease will be beaten in 2022
世衛(wèi):人類將在2022年戰(zhàn)勝新冠疫情

The head of the World Health Organization has said he is optimistic the coronavirus pandemic will be defeated in 2022, provided countries work together to contain its spread. Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesu warned against "narrow nationalism and vaccine hoarding" in a new year’s statement. Global COVID-19 cases now stand at 287 million, while nearly 5.5 million have died. 
世界衛(wèi)生組織總干事譚德塞表示，只要各國聯(lián)起手來抑制病毒蔓延，他對于人類在2022年戰(zhàn)勝新冠疫情充滿樂觀。譚德塞博士在新年寄語中稱，要警惕“狹隘的民族主義和疫苗囤積”。目前全球新冠肺炎病例總數(shù)達(dá)到了2.87億，近550萬名患者已經(jīng)喪生。

Coronavirus remains part of daily life: a disease that has shut borders, split families and in some places made it unthinkable to leave the house without carrying a mask. Despite all this, Tedros sounded a positive note in his speech, noting there are now many more tools to treat the disease. But he warned continuing inequity in vaccine distribution was increasing the risk of the virus evolving.
新冠病毒仍然是日常生活的一部分。疫情導(dǎo)致邊境關(guān)閉、家人分離，在某些地方，不戴口罩甚至出不了門。盡管如此，譚德塞博士還是在寄語中表明了積極的態(tài)度，并指出如今應(yīng)對和治療新冠的手段比以前多很多。但是他警告稱，疫苗分配中持續(xù)的不平等將增加病毒變異的風(fēng)險。
