很多同學(xué)看到“apples and oranges”，

都以為別人在說(shuō)“蘋(píng)果和桔子”。

其實(shí)“apples and oranges”就是一句地道的俚語(yǔ)，

它表達(dá)的是“風(fēng)馬牛不相及、不同種類(lèi)的”的意思。

常見(jiàn)于美式口語(yǔ)。

比如：

We cannot compare Sara and Celina. They are apples and oranges.

我們不能比較薩拉和塞琳娜。他們是截然不同的兩個(gè)人。

They were twins, but apples and oranges.

他們是雙胞胎，但是他們截然不同。
