Walking in Different Shoes: How Our Views Shift 

Have you ever found yourself in this situation:

孟叔想說，你有沒有遇到過這樣的情況：

While driving, you can't help but mutter, "Why are these pedestrians walking so slowly?" But when you're the one walking on the street, you think, "These cars are driving way too fast. It's so dangerous!"

你開車時，總會覺得：“這行人走得也太慢了吧，磨磨蹭蹭的！”但當(dāng)你自己走在馬路上時，又會想：“路上這些車怎么開這么快，太危險了，還一個勁亂按喇叭！”

Sounds familiar? Don't worry, you're not alone. We've all experienced these moments of "dual personality."

是不是覺得有類似經(jīng)歷？其實，并不只你一個人有同感。我們每個人都經(jīng)歷過這種“雙重性格”的時刻。

Examples like this are everywhere in our daily lives. When we're waiting in line, we always feel the service is too slow; but if we're the one behind the counter, we hope customers could be a bit more patient. As students, we think teachers assign too much homework; when we become teachers ourselves, we want students to do more practice.

生活中這樣的例子比比皆是。比如當(dāng)我們排隊購物或點餐時，總覺得前臺服務(wù)太慢效率太低；但如果我們是那個柜臺后面的店員，又希望顧客能多一點耐心。還有學(xué)生時期，我們總覺得老師布置的作業(yè)太多；當(dāng)自己成為老師的時候，又希望學(xué)生能多做點練習(xí)多學(xué)習(xí)些知識。

Interestingly, our thoughts change as our roles change. It's like we're playing a role-playing game. Every time we switch roles, we put on different "glasses," and the world we see changes accordingly.

所以我們的想法會隨著身份的變化而變化。就像是角色扮演游戲，每換一個角色，我們就戴上了不同身份的“眼鏡”，看到的世界和視角也就不一樣了。

Recognizing this is quite fun, isn't it? It tells us that the world isn't simply black and white. Next time you think someone is doing something wrong, try "walking in their shoes" for a bit. You might find that when you look at things from a different angle, everything seems different.

認(rèn)識到這一點其實挺有趣的，因為它告訴我們，這個世界并不是非黑即白那么絕對的。所以下次當(dāng)你覺得別人做得不對時，不妨試著“站在他人的角度來看待問題”。這樣你可能就會發(fā)現(xiàn)，換個角度看問題，一切都變得不一樣了。

This way of thinking not only helps us understand others better but also makes our lives easier and more enjoyable. After all, when we learn to see things from others' perspectives, we can better understand this complex world and get along more harmoniously with others.

這種思考方式不僅能讓我們更理解他人，也能讓我們的生活更輕松愉快。畢竟，當(dāng)我們學(xué)會站在別人的角度思考問題時，我們就能更好地理解這個復(fù)雜的世界，也能更和諧地與他人相處。

So, the next time you find yourself having a strong opinion about something, pause and think: What if the roles were reversed? How would I see it then? You might be surprised to find that the answer isn't as simple as you initially thought.

所以下次當(dāng)你發(fā)現(xiàn)自己對某事有強烈看法時，不妨停下來想一想：如果角色互換，如果我是ta的話，我會怎么看待這件事呢？可能你會驚訝地發(fā)現(xiàn)，答案并不像你一開始想的那么簡單。
