"I'm going to be the first of my species to fly!" said George.

“我就要成為第一只飛上天空的河馬了！”喬治說道。

"Then why aren't you flying?" asked Martha.

“那為什么你沒有在飛呢？”瑪莎問道，

"It seems to me that you are still on the ground."

“在我看來，你似乎還在地面上哦?！?/span>

"You are right," said George.

" I don't seem to be going anywhere at all."

“我好像根本不能飛去其他地方。”

"Maybe the basket is too heavy," said Martha.

“可能是熱氣球的籃子太重了?！爆斏f。

"Yes," said George,

“對。”喬治說，

"I think you are right again.

“我覺得你又說對了。

Maybe if I climb out, the basket will be lighter."

如果我爬出來，籃子就會變輕了。”

"Oh dear!"cried George.

“哦，親愛的！”喬治大叫道。

"Now what have I done? These goes my flying machine!"

“我做了什么呢？我的熱氣球飛走了！”

"That's all right," said Martha.

"I would rather have you down here with me."
