1941年，卡遜出版第一部著作《海風(fēng)下》， 1951年出版《環(huán)繞我們的海洋》，1955年完成了這部作品《海洋的邊緣》，這三部著作組成了人們所熟知的“海洋三部曲”。1962年《寂靜的春天》出版后成為全世界的暢銷書，被看作是全世界環(huán)保事業(yè)的開端。

Carson published her first book Under the Sea Wind in 1941, The Ocean Around Us in 1951, and The Edge of the Sea in 1955, making up what is known as the "Ocean Trilogy". When published in 1962, Silent Spring became a worldwide bestseller and is regarded as the beginning of the global environmental cause.
