Stephen J. Mellor。OO方法學(xué)大師。
Stephen J. Mellor在獲得計(jì)算機(jī)科學(xué)學(xué)位后，在CERN開(kāi)始他的職業(yè)生涯，負(fù)責(zé)支持加速器控制系統(tǒng)。隨后在Lawrence Berkeley實(shí)驗(yàn)室，他領(lǐng)導(dǎo)團(tuán)隊(duì)為多個(gè)實(shí)時(shí)應(yīng)用開(kāi)發(fā)控制系統(tǒng)。他也寫(xiě)過(guò)用結(jié)構(gòu)化方法開(kāi)發(fā)實(shí)時(shí)系統(tǒng)的書(shū)籍：《Structured Development for Real-Time Systems: Essential Modeling Techniques, Vol. 1》（1986年）、《Structured Development for Real-Time Systems: Essential Modeling Techniques, Vol. 2》、《Structured Development for Real-Time Systems: Introduction and Tools, Vol. 3》
1988年，他和Sally Shlaer合著的書(shū)《Object Oriented Systems Analysis: Modeling the World in Data》出版，提出Shlaer-Mellor方法，被認(rèn)為是最早的面向?qū)ο蠓治鲈O(shè)計(jì)方法學(xué)。在他們之后，Coad and Yourdon(1990), Booch(1991), Rumbaugh(1991), Wirfs-Brock(1990), Jacobson(1992)等人才提出了自己的方法。
Stephen J. Mellor近期研究領(lǐng)域集中在模型驅(qū)動(dòng)開(kāi)發(fā)，目前任Project Technology副總裁、首席科學(xué)家，同時(shí)還是IEEE Software編委會(huì)成員。
