Many people think that they have to accept whatever life throws at them. They'll say, "This is my fate, my destiny. I cannot change it."

許多人認(rèn)為人應(yīng)該認(rèn)命接受生活跑給自己的一切。他們會(huì)說：“這就是我的命運(yùn)，是命中注定的。要改變它我無能為力?！?/p>

Of course not!

當(dāng)然不是這樣!

You don't have to suffer needlessly. Your destiny depends on you, not on anyother external factors.

你不必委曲求全。你的命運(yùn)取決于你自己，而不是其他外在的因素。

I know someone who says she just accepts what life gives her because she has done everything she can to improve it.

我認(rèn)識(shí)的一個(gè)人說她只不過是接受生活所給予的一切，因?yàn)樗呀?jīng)盡全力去改善生活了。

Guess what her lifestyle is?

大家猜猜她過的是一種怎樣的生活?

She wakes up in the morning, goes to work, comes back home, relaxes, chats with people, watches TV, then goes to sleep. Next day, the same routinely cycle ensues.

她早上醒來，去上班，回家，休息，和別人聊天，看電視，然后上床休息。第二天，這種生活重復(fù)循環(huán)著。

Huh?!? Is this what she calls "doing her best?"

哈，這就是她所謂的“竭盡全力”?

She believes she has tried her best and just accepts it in her heart that this is the life that God has intended for her to live; that her luck can only change if God wills it.

她認(rèn)為她已經(jīng)盡了力，在心里接受了這種想法，即這就是上帝為她安排的生活，只有上帝愿意，她的運(yùn)氣才會(huì)改變。

Of course, God wants us to be happy andlive our life to the fullest, but we have to do our share of exerting theeffort to live the life of our dreams.

當(dāng)然，上帝希望我們幸?？鞓?，生活圓滿，但我們也要盡力為過上我們夢(mèng)想的生活而努力。

You reap what you sow.

一份耕耘，一份收獲。

You just don't sit around and wait fora million dollars to fall from the sky. You have to get off the couch, get your eyes off the TV screen, get your hands off the phone (unless it contributes toyour success), and get your mind and body to work!

你不能坐著不動(dòng)，巴望著天上會(huì)掉下百萬美元來。你必須從沙發(fā)起身，把眼睛從電視屏幕移開，放下手中的電話--除非它有助于你獲得成功，然后全身心投入工作中！

If your life is not meant the way youwant it to be, don't just say: "Our time will come." or "Things will get better someday."

如果你的生活并不稱心如意，不要只說：“我們的時(shí)機(jī)會(huì)來的。”或“總有一天情況會(huì)好轉(zhuǎn)的。”

Don't expect your luck to change,unless you do something about it. If something goes wrong, don't just regard it as a temporary setback; but use it as feedback. Learn your lesson, make themost of the situation, and do something to resolve the problem.

別指望運(yùn)氣會(huì)改變，除非你對(duì)其有所行動(dòng)。如果出現(xiàn)問題，不要緊緊將其視為暫時(shí)的挫敗，而是把它當(dāng)成是一種反應(yīng)。吸取教訓(xùn)，充分利用當(dāng)時(shí)的情況，并采取行動(dòng)來解決問題。

It's not enough to think positive; you also have to act positive.

積極地思考是不夠的，你還需要積極地行動(dòng)。

If someone's life is in trouble, do you just hope and pray that things will turn out fine? Of course not! You got to do anything you can to save the person.

如果某個(gè)人的生活陷入麻煩，你只是希望和祈禱事情好轉(zhuǎn)起來嗎?當(dāng)然不是。你應(yīng)該盡你所能去解救這個(gè)人。

So it is with your own life. It is not enough to hope for the best, but you have to DO your best.

對(duì)于自己的生活也是這樣。僅僅抱有樂觀的態(tài)度是不夠的，而是要盡力做到最好。

In other words, don't just stand (or sit) there, do something to improve your life!

換句話說，不要只是站(坐)在那兒，要行動(dòng)起來改善你的生活！
