上一期節(jié)目，我們聊到“如何給男生取英文名”。節(jié)目最后，我們答應(yīng)給大家一個(gè)“彩蛋”——回復(fù)大家的留言。今天，翩翩和Bipasha就來(lái)給大家送“彩蛋”了。

--How about the girl’s name Freya？

Answer: Freya is a very cute name for a girl.It has not negative connotation（沒有消極負(fù)面的含義）.

--我想給我家未來(lái)的狗狗取名叫：Charlie

Answer: Charlie is definitely a very cute name for anyone.（誰(shuí)叫Charlie都好聽。）

--見過(guò)幾個(gè)奇奇怪怪的英文名: Water/Tiger/Bird

Those are names to identify objects and not people.It definitely should not be used to name someone.（Water，Tiger，Bird這些名字不能用于人。）

人類不要跟食物，動(dòng)物，東西搶名，哈哈。

--Thea這個(gè)名字呢？

Answer: Thea is a beautiful name. It’s based on a biblical character maybe. （這個(gè)名字可能來(lái)自《圣經(jīng)》）.

--How about River？

Answer: Bipasha’s name is also associate with the river. （Bipasha的名字就與印度的河流有關(guān)。）But the word river itself is not the best name to name anyone.（“river”這個(gè)詞本身含義很好，但是，“river”作為名字，不是特別好的選擇。）

如果你非常喜歡“河流”的寓意，或許你可以選用“Bipasha”的名字哦。

--女生名呢？

Answer: Here it is. By the time you are listening to this, it should be out.關(guān)于女生的英文名，我們已經(jīng)錄好了哦，敬請(qǐng)期待。

--摩西是大人物，挪亞也是大人物啊。

Answer: Moses and Noah are definitely biblical names.（Moses和Noah的確是《圣經(jīng)》中的人物。）

And the two names are not so commonly given to young boys anymore.（年輕人叫這兩個(gè)名字的不是很多。） 

可能是因?yàn)?/span>“Moses”帶有一點(diǎn)神話色彩，現(xiàn)在很少有人會(huì)叫Moses，但Noah這個(gè)名字還是比較常見的。

--闊以選 Circle 為英文名么 ？希望小編幫我解答。

Answer:Wedon't think circle is the best English name to give.

“圈圈”這個(gè)名字，在漢語(yǔ)里聽起來(lái)很可愛。但，選用“Circle”作為英文名，就非常奇怪了。這就好像說(shuō)，“這是我的朋友，正方形（square）。”

或者，“這是我的朋友，長(zhǎng)方形（rectangle）。”

--我一直很想知道，取名字可以自己用字母組成新的詞來(lái)命名嗎？

Answer: That is definitely possible.是可以的。

A lot of people nowadays have begun combining their names with their spouses to create a cute unique name for their baby.現(xiàn)在有很多人，會(huì)組合配偶的名字，來(lái)為自己的孩子取一個(gè)獨(dú)一無(wú)二的名字。

Answer: To be honest, it works sometimes and not always .（有時(shí)是可以的，但不總是可以。）

Bipasha給出的建議是：To get a second opinion on the name you come up with, with someone who knows English names to make sure it does not sound or mean anything weird.（和懂英文名字的人請(qǐng)教一下，確保自己起的英文名聽上去不奇怪。）

--翩翩，我想取一個(gè)關(guān)于月亮的名字，我的中文名字最后兩個(gè)字是玥玥。

Answer: In English it will sound a bit weird if you name yourself “moon” , but there are lot of other names that mean moon. For example:

如果你給自己取名叫“Moon”，聽上去有一點(diǎn)奇怪。但是，我們給大家推薦了一些與月亮有關(guān)的名字：

 For girls there is….

Neoma: It means ‘full moon’.希臘語(yǔ)，滿月的意思。

Amaris: Amaris is a pretty and unusual baby name. 一個(gè)很美的又獨(dú)特的名字，意思是，“神賜的”。

Lucine : Lucine is an Armenian name meaning “moon”. 亞美尼亞人對(duì)月亮的叫法。

Luna: Luna is a strong, yet shimmery moon. 意思是，“很大并且銀光閃閃的月亮”。《哈利波特》中，有一個(gè)小女孩叫Luna Lovegood。

Aysun: Aysun is a lovely Turkish name, meaning “beautiful as the moon”.土耳其語(yǔ)，意思是，“像月亮一樣美麗”。

Cynthia: Cynthia is a beautiful name for girls as well. Cynthia是“月亮女神”的意思。

For boys there is….

Chan: the name Chan is a Sanskrit word for moon. 梵語(yǔ)中月亮的意思，意思是，“無(wú)論走到哪里，都散發(fā)著魅力”。

Arche: the name of a moon orbiting Jupiter. Arche是圍繞著木星的衛(wèi)星。

Mayank: is one of the hugely popular Hindi names meaning moon. 印度語(yǔ)中的月亮。

Quacey: is a Scottish name and means “moonlight” . 蘇格蘭語(yǔ)中的月光。

Neil:usually almost always referred to Neil Armstrong  Neil通常指的是尼爾·阿姆斯特朗（Neil Armstrong），第一個(gè)登上月球的人。

--How about the name: Leo, cute?

Answer: Leo is a very cute name and quite common name as well. 很可愛又很常見的名字。

--What about Irene？It's a girl's name.

Answer: Irene is a very popular girl’s name all over the world.（全世界流行）

--How about Weir?

Answer: Not sure if it has any meaning, and it’s also our first time hearing. 

So we are not sure if it has any meaning or significance.

我們也不確定這個(gè)英文名是什么意思，我們也是第一次聽。

--請(qǐng)問我這個(gè)英文名可以嗎， Townsey_Steve？

Answer: That’s a quite unique name.很獨(dú)特的英文名。

Steve is quite a normal name, but Townsey we are not sure if it has a particular meaning or not.（Steve是一個(gè)很常見的名字，但Townsey很獨(dú)特。）

 But it does sound good and does not have any negative meaning either.這個(gè)名字聽起來(lái)不錯(cuò)，沒有消極負(fù)面的意思。
