It's just a wonderful time of year. Isn't it? I love the tree and all the sparkly lights and the decorations and all the yummy food and the rustling and the giving and receiving of gifts.

這是一年中最美妙的時刻，不是嗎？我愛圣誕樹，喜歡所有閃閃發(fā)亮的燈光和裝飾品，所有美味的食物，沙沙作響的聲音，贈送和接受禮物。

And tonight's bedtime story is about a very special Christmas gift. Would you like to hear about it? Great!

今晚的睡前故事是關(guān)于一個非常特別的圣誕禮物。你想聽聽這個故事嗎？很好！

This story is called Merry Christmas Blue Kangaroo by Emma Chichester Clark. Blue Kangaroo belonged to Lily. He was her very own Kangaroo and it was his first Christmas.

這個故事叫《圣誕快樂，藍(lán)袋鼠》，作者是艾瑪·奇切斯特·克拉克。藍(lán)色袋鼠是屬于莉莉的。他是她的專屬袋鼠，這是他的第一個圣誕節(jié)。

“Look!” whispered Lily, “it's snowing just for you Blue Kangaroo.” Lily made her own Christmas cards. She drew robins and holly and she stuck stars on them.

“看！”莉莉低聲說，“這雪是為你下的，藍(lán)袋鼠?！?nbsp;莉莉制作了她自己的圣誕卡。她畫了知更鳥和冬青，還貼上了星星。

“I’ve made one for everyone.” she said. “And one just for you Blue Kangaroo.”

“Just for me?” thought Blue Kangaroo. “I wish I could make one for Lily.”

The next day, Lily and her mother made Christmas decorations. They cut up colored paper and stuck it with glue. “It's going to be so pretty.” cried Lily. “And it's just for you Blue Kangaroo and for you.” said her mother.

第二天，莉莉給她媽媽做了圣誕裝飾品。她們把彩色的紙剪開，用膠水粘起來?！斑@會多漂亮啊?！崩蚶蚝暗馈！岸疫@是為藍(lán)袋鼠和你準(zhǔn)備的。”莉莉的媽媽說。

In the afternoon, Uncle George and Lily's father brought home the Christmas tree. “It's Blue Kangaroo's first Christmas, Uncle George.”

下午，喬治叔叔和莉莉的爸爸把圣誕樹帶回家。“這是藍(lán)袋鼠的第一個圣誕節(jié)，喬治叔叔?！?/span>

“Well then.” said Uncle George, “Here’s a tree just for you, Blue Kangaroo.”

“接下來?！眴讨问迨逭f，“這棵樹是專門給你的，藍(lán)袋鼠?！?nbsp;

“Just for me.” Thought Blue Kangaroo,” what will I do with a tree?” Just for you, Blue Kangaroo.

“專門給我的？”藍(lán)袋鼠想，“我要一棵樹干嗎？”專門為你準(zhǔn)備的，藍(lán)袋鼠。

The next day, Lily and her mother wrapped up presents. “I hope you're not looking because this one's just for you Blue Kangaroo.” said Lily. Lily helped put the presents under the tree.

第二天，莉莉和她媽媽把禮物包好?！拔蚁Ｍ悴灰悼?，藍(lán)袋鼠，因為這個是專門給你的?！崩蚶蛘f。莉莉幫忙把禮物放到樹下。

“Just for me.” thought Blue Kangaroo, “I wish I had one for Lily.”

“專門給我的？”藍(lán)袋鼠想，“我希望也能送莉莉一樣禮物?！?/span>

Later on, Aunt Jemima and Aunt Florence came. Aunt Jemima brought mince pies and Aunt Florence brought gingerbread men. “One for you, Lily and one for your little brother and this one is just for you, Blue Kangaroo.” said Aunt Florence.

不一會兒，杰邁瑪姑媽和弗洛倫斯姑媽來了。杰邁瑪姨媽帶來了肉餡餅，弗洛倫斯姨媽帶來了姜餅人。佛羅倫薩姨媽說：“一個給你，莉莉，一個給你弟弟，還有一個是專門給你的，藍(lán)袋鼠。”

“Just for me?” thought Blue Kangaro, “It's just like me.”

“專門給我的？”藍(lán)袋鼠想，“它長得和我一樣。”

Lily's grandparents arrived in the evening. “It's Blue Kangaroo’ s first Christmas.” said Lily. Everyone sang carols around the tree and then Lily sang one all by herself.

莉莉的祖父母在傍晚時分到了?！斑@是藍(lán)袋鼠的第一個圣誕節(jié)?！崩蚶蛘f。大家圍著圣誕樹唱起頌歌，然后莉莉單獨(dú)為大家唱了一首。

Just for you, Blue Kangaroo. “Just for me,” thought Blue Kangaroo. “I wish I could sing for Lily.” 

專門為你唱的，藍(lán)袋鼠?！皩ｉT為我唱的？”藍(lán)袋鼠想，“我希望我可以為莉莉唱歌?！?/span>

Before bed, Lily hung up her stocking. “Do you think father Christmas will come?” she asked. “He’ll come when you're fast asleep.” Said her mother.

睡覺前，莉莉掛上了她的襪子?！澳阏J(rèn)為圣誕老人會來嗎？”她問?！八麜谀憧焖臅r候來?！彼龐寢屨f。

“Good night Blue Kangaroo. ” Whispered Lily and she closed her eyes tight. But Blue Kangaroo lay wide-eyed through the night. Suddenly, there was a funny noise. Blue Kangaroo's whiskers bristled. His ears tingled. Is it Father Christmas? He wondered.

“晚安，藍(lán)袋鼠?！崩蚶蜉p聲說。然后她閉上了雙眼。但藍(lán)袋鼠卻睜大眼睛躺了一整夜。突然，傳來一個有趣的聲音。藍(lán)袋鼠的胡須豎起來了，他的耳朵感到刺痛。難道是圣誕老人嗎？他心想。

A big yellow moon was shining through the house and everything was quiet. Then he heard it again. It must be Father Christmas. Thought Blue Kangaroo.

一輪黃色圓月照亮了整個房子，萬籟寂靜。然后他又聽到了那個聲音。一定是圣誕老人。藍(lán)袋鼠想。

Perhaps he can help me. Blue Kangaroo waited, the noises got louder then crashing and bump. “Father Christmas,” he whispered.

也許他能幫助我。藍(lán)袋鼠等待著，這個聲音越來越大，然后是碰撞和撞擊的聲音?！笆フQ老人?！彼吐曊f。

“What can I do for you? Little Blue Kangaroo.” Asked Father Christmas.

“我能為你做什么？小小的藍(lán)袋鼠?！笔フQ老人問道。

“Well.” Lily says, “Everything is just for me but I want something just for her and I haven't got anything. ” said Blue Kangaroo sadly.

“嗯......”莉莉說，“所有東西都是為我準(zhǔn)備的，但是我想為她準(zhǔn)備一些東西，可我什么都沒有?！彼{(lán)袋鼠傷心地說。

“Has she been good? ” Asked Father Christmas.

“她表現(xiàn)好嗎？”圣誕老人問道。

“ Oh, yes! ” Said Blue Kangaroo. “ Then you might just find something in my sack. ” said Father Christmas. “Have a look!”

“是的！”藍(lán)袋鼠說?！澳悄銘?yīng)該能在我的口袋里找到一些東西?！笔フQ老人說，“你到我口袋看看吧?！?/span>

Blue Kangaroo looked and he found something just exactly right. Father Christmas wrote a label for Blue Kangaroo so that he could hang his present on the tree. Then they had some milk and cookies.

藍(lán)袋鼠看了看，他發(fā)現(xiàn)了一個非常合適的東西。圣誕老人給藍(lán)袋鼠寫了一個標(biāo)簽，這樣他就可以把禮物掛在樹上了。然后他們喝了一些牛奶，吃了一些餅干。

 “Good night, Blue Kangaroo.” said Father Christmas. “Lily is a lucky girl to have such a good kangaroo as you.”

“晚安，藍(lán)袋鼠?！笔フQ老人說，“莉莉是個幸運(yùn)的女孩，有你這樣一只好袋鼠?！?/span>

In the morning, Lily ran downstairs with Blue Kangaroo. She found that there were three stockings hanging on the mantelpiece.

早上，莉莉帶著藍(lán)袋鼠一起跑下樓。她發(fā)現(xiàn)壁爐架上掛著三只襪子。

“Look!” Said lily, “It says just for you my good friend Blue Kangaroo from Father Christmas. How did that happen?” She asked.

“看！”莉莉說，“這上面寫著，親愛的藍(lán)袋鼠朋友，這是圣誕老人專門為你準(zhǔn)備的。怎么會這樣呢？”她問道。

Then Lily noticed something else. “ Look! ” she said, “A little blue heart on the Christmas tree that wasn't there yesterday. Who can it be for?”

然后，莉莉注意到了別的東西?！翱?！”她說，“圣誕樹上有一個小藍(lán)心，昨天還沒有呢。這是給誰的呢？”

The little blue heart had a ribbon with a tiny Christmas card tied onto it. Lily read the message out loud. It said just for you Lily with love from Blue Kangaroo.

小藍(lán)心上有一條絲帶，上面系著一張小小的圣誕卡。莉莉大聲讀出了賀卡上的信息。上面寫著，這是愛你的藍(lán)袋鼠專門為你準(zhǔn)備的。

 “Oh, Blue Kangaroo.” Whispered Lily hugging him tight, “Just for me from you.”

“哦，藍(lán)袋鼠?！崩蚶蚓o緊擁抱著他低聲說，“這是你專門送給我的?！?/span>

“Yes!” Thought Blue Kangaroo happily, “Just for you, Lily. Merry Christmas!”

“是的！”。袋鼠高興地心想，“專門送給你的，莉莉。圣誕快樂！”

That story was called Merry Christmas Blue Kangaroo. I felt really happy when Lily got her present from Blue Kangaroo. Did you?

那個故事叫《圣誕快樂，藍(lán)袋鼠》。當(dāng)莉莉收到藍(lán)袋鼠的禮物時，我感到十分高興，你是不是也很高興呢？
