Definition:
Evidence refers to information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case in favor of one side or the other.

定義:
證據(jù)指的是在證詞或文件中提出的信息,用于說服事實裁判者(法官或陪審團)作出有利于某一方的判決。

Example:
In a criminal trial, the prosecution may present evidence such as witness testimony, physical objects, and forensic reports to prove the defendant’s guilt. The defense, on the other hand, may present evidence to refute the prosecution’s claims and prove the defendant’s innocence.

例子:
