Day - 76 Why do towers lean?
Alert! A leaning tower in Italy is in danger of falling. But it is not the famous one in Pisa. It is the Garisenda Tower. The tower is about 1,000 years old. It has been leaning since it was built. Now, Italy has made a plan to restore it. Leaning towers are not rare in Italy, as well as in other parts of the world. You may be surprised to know that some popular buildings also lean to one side, such as Big Ben in the UK and the Huqiu Tower in Suzhou, China. But why don’t they stand stright?
