People around the world are finding different ways to relieve stress during the coronavirus pandemic. Promote Iceland, which encourages tourism to the country, is encouraging people to scream to relieve pent-up frustration.

A website for the ad campaign shows yellow loudspeakers playing the screams of people from around the globe in front of peaceful scenery like glaciers, caves and waterfalls.

A button at the top of the site invites users to join in with the phrase, "Tap to scream." According to a news release, the speakers are located at seven places across Iceland. People who participate receive a video of their scream as it's broadcast from one of the stunning locations.

Japanese company Donut Robotics has developed a face mask with "smart" capabilities, including the ability to translate what the wearer is saying into eight different languages. The C-FACE Smart Mask still protects from the spread of COVID-19, but can also translate the wearer's speech from Japanese into Vietnamese, English, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Thai, Indonesian, and French.

It works by connecting to a smartphone app via Bluetooth to translate the words into text messages and can also dictate speech and make calls. Estimated to cost $40 per mask, the first 5,000 masks will be available to Japanese buyers in September before expanding to China, the US, and Europe.

Climate change is starving polar bears into extinction, according to research published Monday that predicts the apex carnivores could all but disappear within the span of a human lifetime.

'Mask make-up' goes viral

Starting July 24, face masks are mandatory for those visiting shops and supermarkets in England.  As face coverings become part of the new "normal", sales of eye and brow make-up have soared throughout the lockdown.
