Xi stresses sound China-US ties in virtual meeting with Biden
習(xí)近平：引領(lǐng)中美關(guān)系積極向前發(fā)展

President Xi Jinping on Tuesday called for developing a sound and steady China-US relationship during a virtual meeting with US President Joe Biden. Xi said China and the United States should respect each other, coexist in peace and pursue win-win cooperation. Xi pointed out both China and the US are at critical stages of development, and the "global village" of humanity faces multiple challenges. 
國家主席習(xí)近平11月16日同美國總統(tǒng)拜登舉行視頻會晤。習(xí)近平指出，兩國應(yīng)構(gòu)建健康穩(wěn)定的中美關(guān)系。中美應(yīng)該相互尊重、和平共處、合作共贏。當(dāng)前，中美發(fā)展都處在關(guān)鍵階段，人類的"地球村"也面臨諸多挑戰(zhàn)。

As the world's two largest economies and permanent members of the UN Security Council, China and the US need to increase communication and cooperation, each run their domestic affairs well and, at the same time, shoulder their share of international responsibilities and work together to advance the noble cause of world peace and development, Xi said. This is the shared desire of the people of the two countries and around the world, and the joint mission of Chinese and American leaders, he said.

Beijing 2022 unveils menu for athletes

Organizers of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games have released a menu of 678 dishes that will be served during the Games to athletes from diverse cultural backgrounds. The menu, approved by the International Olympic Committee, was designed to meet the different dietary needs of athletes while also taking religious diversity into consideration, organizers said. 
北京2022年冬奧組委近日發(fā)布運動員菜單，共678道特色菜品。北京冬奧組委表示，菜單制定充分考慮不同口味、不同文化背景、不同宗教的運動員的特定需求，已獲國際奧委會審核同意。

Those 678 dishes will be provided in turns, and around 200 dishes will be available for athletes each day in the three competition zones of Beijing, Yanqing and Zhangjiakou. The 2022 Winter Olympics coincides with China's Spring Festival, and food from different regions of China will enable global athletes to fully experience Chinese cuisine.
在北京、延慶、張家口三個冬奧村，每天約200道特色菜品供各國運動員食用，并定期進(jìn)行輪換。冬奧會(冬殘奧會)賽時恰逢中國傳統(tǒng)春節(jié)，中國各地特色菜品供應(yīng)將讓世界各地運動員充分感受中國美食文化魅力。

Authorities urged to root out academic tutoring
教育部印發(fā)學(xué)科類培訓(xùn)鑒別指南

The Ministry of Education has asked local education authorities to differentiate academic tutoring companies from non-academic ones to prevent institutions from conducting curriculum-based training under the guise of non-academic tutoring. The differentiation should be based on the purpose, content and evaluation method of the tutoring, the ministry said in a guideline issued on Monday.
教育部11月15日印發(fā)《義務(wù)教育階段校外培訓(xùn)項目分類鑒別指南》，指導(dǎo)各地加強(qiáng)學(xué)科類校外培訓(xùn)項目鑒別工作，防范校外培訓(xùn)機(jī)構(gòu)假借非學(xué)科類培訓(xùn)項目實際開展學(xué)科類培訓(xùn)服務(wù)等問題。指南明確，要從培訓(xùn)目的、培訓(xùn)內(nèi)容、評價方式等維度對培訓(xùn)項目進(jìn)行綜合考量。

Tutoring companies that aim to improve students' academic knowledge and grades, teach academic subjects or evaluate students based on their exam results should be classified as academic ones, it said. Local education authorities should organize expert teams not involved in the tutoring companies to distinguish between them, the ministry said. Tutoring companies should conduct self-examination and evaluation and not try to hide behind new identities to avoid regulation, it added.
培訓(xùn)目的主要為提升學(xué)科學(xué)習(xí)成績服務(wù)、培訓(xùn)內(nèi)容主要涉及學(xué)科學(xué)習(xí)內(nèi)容、以學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)成績、考試結(jié)果等作為主要評價依據(jù)的，將判定為學(xué)科類培訓(xùn)。各地要組建專家組得出鑒別意見，且相關(guān)人員未在培訓(xùn)機(jī)構(gòu)中任職或兼職。培訓(xùn)機(jī)構(gòu)要進(jìn)行自我研判、自評自查，不得隱形變異違規(guī)開展學(xué)科類培訓(xùn)活動。

China has created 11.33 million new jobs in its urban areas during the first 10 months of this year, achieving the target for the whole year in advance. China's surveyed urban unemployment rate stood at 4.9% in October, 0.4 percentage points lower than the same period last year, data from the National Bureau of Statistics show. From January to October, the country's surveyed urban unemployment rate averaged 5.1%, NBS spokesperson Fu Linghui said on Monday. "
國家統(tǒng)計局最新數(shù)據(jù)顯示，1至10月份，全國城鎮(zhèn)新增就業(yè)1133萬人，提前完成全年目標(biāo)任務(wù)。10月份，全國城鎮(zhèn)調(diào)查失業(yè)率為4.9%，低于去年同期0.4個百分點。國家統(tǒng)計局新聞發(fā)言人付凌暉11月15日表示，1至10月份，全國城鎮(zhèn)調(diào)查失業(yè)率平均為5.1%。
