22.The little prince

"Hello." The young prince said.
"Hello." The wrencher said.
"What are you doing here?" The little prince asked.
"I sort out the passengers by the packet, one packet per thousand." The wrencher said, "I dispatch these trains carrying passengers, one moment to the right, the next to the left."
At that moment a brightly lit express train, thundering loudly, shook the wrenching room.
"What a hurry they are in," said the little prince, "what are they looking for?"
"The man who drives the locomotive doesn't know himself." The wrencher said.
So the second train of lighted expresses rumbled past again in the opposite direction.
"Why are they back again?" The young prince asked.
"They're not the same ones anymore." The wrencher said, "It's a pair of trains."
"Aren't they happy where they used to live?"
"People are never happy where they are, either." The wrencher said.
At that moment, a third brightly lit express train rumbled by again.
"Are they following the first travellers?" The young prince asked.
"They're not following anything." The wrencher said, "They are sleeping inside or yawning. Only
there are children with their noses pressed against the glass windows looking out."
"Only the children know what they are looking for themselves." The little prince said, "They spend a lot of time for a rag doll
They spend so much time on a rag doll that it becomes a very important thing, and if someone takes it away from them, they cry.

"They are so lucky." said the wrencher.

此時(shí)，第三趟燈火明亮的快車又隆隆而過。
“他們是在追隨第一批旅客嗎？”小王子問道。
“他們什么也不追隨?！卑獾拦ふf，“他們?cè)诶锩嫠X，或是在打哈欠。只
有孩子們把鼻子貼在玻璃窗上往外看。”
“只有孩子知道他們自己在尋找什么?！毙⊥踝诱f，“他們?yōu)橐粋€(gè)布娃娃花
費(fèi)不少時(shí)間，這個(gè)布娃娃就成了很重要的東西，如果有人奪走的他們的布娃娃，
他們就哭泣?”
“他們真幸運(yùn)。”扳道工說。
