HBO's fantasy epic "Game ofThrones" and Amazon's dark comedy "Fleabag" won top awards atthe 71st Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday night, picking up outstanding dramaseries and outstanding comedy series, respectively. The eighth and final seasonof "Game of Thrones" led the pack with 32 nominations this year butonly earned two awards, outstanding drama series and outstanding supportingactor in a drama series. "Fleabag" dominated the comedy categoriesand picked up four Emmys. "Fleabag" is a British comedy-dramatelevision show, featuring a dry-witted woman living in London, known only as Fleabag.

The so-called Tetris Challenge started Sept1 when Zurich police published a bird's eye image on social media. It capturedtwo officers on the ground beside the contents of their car laid out in neat,geometric block patterns, like in the popular 1980s video game Tetris. Sincethen, public services units from around the world have followed suit,photographing their work equipment in rows beside their vehicles. The HimbergFire Department in Austria displayed all the technology and individual partsthat go into its fire truck. Hungarian police displayed a patrol car and itscontents. The Royal Netherlands Army and the Singapore Army also joined in thechallenge.

Christmas is coming early this year for"Downton Abbey" fans. Highclere Castle, where the beloved Britishshow was filmed, will be available for one night only on Airbnb. The stay willoffer two lucky guests a glimpse at what life as a Crawley may have been like.The once-in-a-lifetime stay will take place on Nov 26, 2019, according to thelisting. In a one-night-only listing, Earl and Lady Carnarvon, the owners ofthe castle, are inviting one lucky couple to "live like royalty" attheir 100,000-square-foot, 300-room estate in Hampshire, England. The chosenpair will be invited to share dinner with the Earl and Countess in the statedining room, followed by coffee in the library. They will then retire to one ofthe gallery bedrooms with views overlooking 1,000 acres of parkland. This isn'tthe first time the Earl and Countess have opened their doors to the public.Visitors can take tours of the castle between 9:30 am and 5 pm daily from Julyto September. The castle is also open on various days throughout the year.

New satellites launched

我國再發(fā)兩顆北斗衛(wèi)星

China has successfully sent two satellitesof BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) into space from the XichangSatellite Launch Center in Sichuan Province at 5:10 am Monday. Launched on aLong March-3B carrier rocket, the two satellites entered the orbit. They arethe 47th and 48th satellites of the BDS satellite family. After in-orbit tests,the new satellites will work with those BDS satellites already in orbit toimprove positioning accuracy of the system. China will complete the BDS globalnetwork by 2020.

23日5時10分，我國在四川省西昌衛(wèi)星發(fā)射中心用長征三號乙運載火箭，成功將兩顆北斗導航衛(wèi)星系統(tǒng)衛(wèi)星發(fā)射升空，送入軌道。此次發(fā)射的兩顆衛(wèi)星分別為第47和第48顆北斗導航衛(wèi)星。在進行在軌測試后，這兩顆新衛(wèi)星將入網(wǎng)與已經(jīng)在軌的北斗導航衛(wèi)星系統(tǒng)衛(wèi)星一同工作，提高系統(tǒng)定位精度。我國將于2020年前完成北斗導航衛(wèi)星系統(tǒng)全球網(wǎng)絡(luò)。
