1. PAXLOVID DRUG FOR COVID-19 ARRIVES IN SHANGHAI

輝瑞新冠治療藥物首批抵滬

China's newly revised COVID-19 diagnosis and treatment guidelines include two COVID-19 drugs—Paxlovid, an antiviral pill developed by Pfizer, and a mono-clonal antibody developed domestically. 21,200 boxes of Paxlovid was shipped to Shanghai and was cleared by Customs last Thursday (March 17).

《新型冠狀病毒肺炎診療方案（試行第九版）》的修訂要點(diǎn)顯示國(guó)家藥監(jiān)局批準(zhǔn)的兩種特異性抗新冠病毒藥物即輝瑞公司研發(fā)的利托那韋片（Paxlovid）以及國(guó)產(chǎn)單克隆抗體（安巴韋單抗/羅米司韋單抗注射液），被寫入最新版診療方案。上周四（3月17號(hào)），上海海關(guān)驗(yàn)放全國(guó)首批輝瑞新冠口服藥，共21,200箱。

The Paxlovid shipment entered Shanghai at Pudong Airport and was sent to Waigaoqiao Bonded Zone for inspection. After clearance, the medicines were distributed to hospitals all over the country to treat COVID-19 patients. The National Medical Products Administration【國(guó)家藥品監(jiān)督管理局】approved the import and registration of Paxlovid on February 11th.

這批藥品從浦東機(jī)場(chǎng)口岸入境，隨后立即被提離并轉(zhuǎn)運(yùn)至外高橋保稅區(qū)進(jìn)行查驗(yàn)。通關(guān)后，這些藥品被火速運(yùn)往全國(guó)抗疫一線。早在2月11日，國(guó)家藥品監(jiān)督管理局批準(zhǔn)了輝瑞新冠治療藥的進(jìn)口和注冊(cè)。

During a televised interview on the CBS news program "Face the Nation" on Sunday (March 20), Chinese Ambassador to the United States Qin Gang said China is part of the solution and not part of the problem, while elaborating on China's position on Russia-Ukraine conflict.

昨日（3月20號(hào)），中國(guó)駐美大使秦剛就烏克蘭問題接受美國(guó)哥倫比亞廣播公司"面向全民"節(jié)目專訪。在節(jié)目中，秦剛表示，中國(guó)是解決問題的一方，不是制造問題的一方。

Qin said that President Xi Jinping and US President Joe Biden the video call last Friday (March 18) was candid【坦誠(chéng)的】, deep and constructive. President Xi made China's position very clear, that is China stands for peace and opposes war. So allegations that China is providing military assistance to Russia in its conflict with Ukraine is "disinformation". China is ready to provide further humanitarian assistance to Ukraine and other affected countries.

秦剛表示，上周五（3月18日），習(xí)近平主席同拜登總統(tǒng)視頻通話，通話是坦誠(chéng)、深入、建設(shè)性的。習(xí)近平主席明確表示，中方主張和平，反對(duì)戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)。因此，有關(guān)中方向俄羅斯提供軍事援助的說法是“虛假消息”。中方正在勸和促談，并為烏克蘭和相關(guān)國(guó)家提供人道主義援助。

“What China is doing is sending food, medicine, sleeping bags and baby formula, not weapons and ammunition to any party.” 中方給烏克蘭人民送去食品、藥品、睡袋和嬰兒奶粉，而不是向任何一方提供武器彈藥。

The ambassador noted that China will continue to promote peace talks and urge an immediate ceasefire【?；稹?/b>.

秦剛指出，中方將繼續(xù)勸和促談，呼吁?；鹬箲?zhàn)。

When asked whether Beijing would provide financial support to Moscow, Qin emphasized that the trade, economic, financial and energy cooperation China has with Russia are normal business ties between two sovereign countries based on international laws and World Trade Organization regulations.

當(dāng)被問及中方是否會(huì)向俄羅斯提供金融支持時(shí)，秦剛強(qiáng)調(diào)，中國(guó)與俄羅斯開展有關(guān)貿(mào)易、金融和能源合作等是兩個(gè)主權(quán)國(guó)家之間基于國(guó)際法和世界貿(mào)易組織規(guī)定的正常商業(yè)往來。

He further explained China has good relations with Russia, and good relations with Ukraine. China maintains close communications with the United States and with Europe, enabling China to reach out to all parties concerned in the crisis.

同時(shí)，他指出中方同俄、烏都保持良好關(guān)系，也與美、歐等方面保持密切溝通。這使得中方能同危機(jī)所有相關(guān)方說上話。中方的獨(dú)特地位，有助于和平解決這一危機(jī)。

“China's trusted relations with Russia is not a liability. It's an asset in the international efforts to solve the crisis in a peaceful way. China is part of the solution. It's not part of the problem.”中俄互信關(guān)系不是負(fù)資產(chǎn)，而是正資產(chǎn)，有利于和平解決危機(jī)的國(guó)際努力。中國(guó)是解決問題的一方，不是制造問題的一方。

In the nine-minute interview, the Chinese ambassador, who was repeatedly interrupted by the host before he could finish his sentence, also reiterated that national sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries, including Ukraine, should be respected and protected.

在9分鐘的采訪過程中，主持人咄咄逼人，多次無理打斷秦剛的回答。但自始至終，秦剛大使明確闡釋了中方立場(chǎng)：包括烏克蘭在內(nèi)的所有國(guó)家的國(guó)家主權(quán)和領(lǐng)土完整都需要得到尊重和保護(hù)。

The Chinese men's 4x100 meter relay team at the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games has been awarded the bronze medal after Britain's team was stripped【剝奪，取消】of its silver medal, the International Association of Athletics Federations【國(guó)際田徑聯(lián)合會(huì)】said today (March 21). Lei Shuran has more.

The federation updated the profiles of the Chinese sprinters—Su Bingtian, Xie Zhenye, Wu Zhiqiang and Tang Xingqiang—to indicate they won bronze in the race.
